Marilyn Rose Lawson

Marilyn Rose Lawson, age 83, of Benson, Arizona, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2023, with her loved ones by her side. She was born in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, on September 24, 1939, to Milton, and Cecilia (Valley) Steinberg. She married William (Bill) Lawson in 1956, and they had many adventures in their life together. Marilyn retired from 3M in 1996, then her and Bill moved to Arizona in 1999. Marilyn was forever busy with many hobbies and “loves”. Her biggest and deepest love was her family. Caring about their welfare, cooking and entertaining them. And her many hobbies. Knitting, crocheting ,bingo, boating, fishing, Mah Jong, sewing circle, and beautiful quilts. Making quilts of valor for beloved family and friends was very close to her heart. Marilyn was a beautiful soul in every way, with a huge caring heart, a selfless giving personality and a huge hug for all who were dear to her. She is survived by daughter, Cindy (Jake) Bohnenkamp, brothers, Charles (Shirley) Steinberg, Paul (Pamela) Steinberg, Sister Alicia (John) Cejka, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren,
3 great great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Bill, daughter Mary Jones, and great granddaughter Madison Walker. Marilyn is leaving behind the fur love of her life, Gizmo.
a Celebration of Marilyns life will held August 26, 2023, at Lochner Park, prairie du Chien, Wisconsin from 1:00PM to 4:00 PM.
