Senator Pfaff (D-Onalaska) and Representative Oldenburg (R-Viroqua) testified at the Senate Agriculture and Tourism Committee in support of Senate Bill 134 on April 20. This bipartisan bill would increase the tax credits that farmers can earn under the Farmland Preservation Program in Wisconsin and decrease the minimum length of farmland preservation agreements from 15 to 10 years. The legislation aims to revitalize the Farmland Preservation Program and attract greater participation from Wisconsin farmers. (Contributed photo)
