Warriors drop golf matches to NFV

The Central golf team was back on the home course last week, against North Fayette Valley. Unfortunately for the Warriors, there was no home field advantage, as both the boys and girls lost to the TigerHawks.
Central shot a team total 217 in the boys match, compared to the TigerHawks’ 177.
Leading the way for the Warriors was Isaac Loan, who finished in fifth place after shooting a 52. Isaac Wellendorf ended the round with a 54 and placed sixth, followed by Brock Eglseder with a 55 and came in seventh. Marcus Evans shot a 56, which put him into ninth position.
Keaton Klingman and Max Fettkether tied for 11th, both shooting a 62, while Jake Hertrampf was 13th with a 65. The remaining Warriors were Mark Hertrampf in 14th and Maxwell Schantz in 15th.
The girls finished with a 259, while the TigerHawks turned in a 222. Haley Frieden was the top finisher for the Warriors, after shooting a 54 and placing second overall. Makayla Erickson shot a 64 and placed sixth, while Maddie Schmidt put up a 67 for eighth place. Jillian Finley ended the day with a 74 and was ninth. Caitlyn Druecker was 10th after shooting a 75, and Macie Winters was 12th with an 88.
The Warriors will tee off this week at home versus MFL MarMac on April 24, followed by a road trip to Clayton Ridge on April 25. They will finish the week off against Turkey Valley at the Jackson Heights Golf Course on April 27.
