Central boys wrestlers have quiet week

Braxton Bormann wrestled his way to fourth place at 120 pounds.

Last week was a quiet one for the Central boys wrestling team, with a dual at Bellevue canceled due to weather and only three wrestlers traveling to Midland for the Jan. 21 John Byers Wrestling Tournament.

 

There, the top finisher was Nick Deitchler, who placed second at 126 pounds. Braxton Bormann was fourth at 120 and Sam Fettkether did not place, after going 1-2 at 160 pounds.

 

This week, the team will wrestle in the Upper Iowa Conference Tournament at Tripoli on Thursday, Jan. 26.
