Garry Lee Moser, 77, of Guttenberg, died Wednesday Dec. 7, 2022, at Mercy One Hospital in Dubuque. 

Visitation and funeral services were Dec. 17 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garnavillo, with burial at Bethel Cemetery.

Garry was born Sept. 7, 1945, in Postville, to Ira and VerdaMae (Noack) Moser. He was united in marriage on Nov. 20, 1965, to Fern Latteyer.

Garry attended Guttenberg High School. After school Garry worked for Hilton Homes, Klaes-Barnhart, Farm Service and Double L. He drove truck for Art Pape for 15 years as an owner/operator, then went on to work for Knife River before retiring.

Garry enjoyed aggravating his grandkids, spending time with family and friends, playing cards and playing games on his phone with his buddy Benji on his lap watching the Andy Griffith Show. Garry was an avid NASCAR fan, following Dale Earnhardt and Dale Jr. Garry was a bass guitarist, playing in local bands throughout his years.

Garry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Fern Moser; his three children, Dina (CJ) Wachendorf of Stanwood, Brian Moser of Clarence and DeAnn (Wayne) Wright of Marion; four grandchildren Caleb (Courtney) Wachendorf, Carissa (Travis) Barten, Chris and Saylor Moser and two step-grandchildren, Miranda and Lauryn Wright; two sisters, Shirleen (Daryl) Fredlake and Diana (Kevin) Hale; and several nieces and nephews

Garry was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Owen Moser, Lyle Moser and Leon Moser, and one sister, Cindy Meyer.
