Patricia Wolter, 74, of Saint Olaf, died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022. She was born on Dec. 13, 1947, in Dyersville, the daughter of Elmer and Alma (Reis) Brunsmann.


Pat received her education in Manchester and graduated with the class of 1966. Throughout the 27 years she worked for Swiss Valley, she started in the bagging room and worked herself up to lab tech until she retired in 2010. On Sept. 23, 1974, Pat was united in marriage with Bert Wolter in Elgin. Pat was an avid gardener, and loved her flowers as well as watching birds. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and bowling either with friends or league. Pat lived on the river. She’s been boating on the Mississippi every year since 1975. She thoroughly enjoyed hanging out on the houseboat, fishing and socializing. 


Pat will be missed by many, including her husband of almost 48 years, Bert; children, Terry (Nancy) Cook, Stacey (Marykate) Wolter and Traci (Randy) Beason; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; five great-step grandchildren; four siblings, Dan Brunsmann, Jane (Ray) Philippson, Al (Deb) Brunsmann and Rick Brunsmann; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 


Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Alma Brunsmann; mother and father in law, Adolph and Lorraine Wolter; and grandson, Spencer Cook.


Arrangements are being handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg, where the family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13. There will be a private family inurnment at a later date.
