The Prairie du Chien Grasshoppers’ two pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as the Hoppers blanked Stoddard 10-0 on Thursday, July 7 at St. Feriole Island Ballpark. 

Aden McCluskey hurled a strike-out for the last out of the game.

In the first inning, Prairie du Chien got their offense started when Jon Nicholson singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Prairie du Chien put up four runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Nicholson and Owen Oldenburg.

Chase Fisher was on the hill at the start of the game for Prairie du Chien. The righthander went two innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out three and walking one. Aden McCluskey pitched three innings in the five-inning contest. He gave up no hits, no runs, and had three Ks, and two walks.

The Hoppers racked up 11 hits. Nicholson went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Prairie du Chien in hits. 

Prairie du Chien was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Ty Wagner had the most chances in the field with six.
