Prairie du Chien’s 150th Anniversary officially celebrated next Thursday

Commemorative T-shirts are for sale for the sesquicentennial.

A 150th Anniversary Celebration of Prairie du Chien’s establishment will be Thursday, July 14, in downtown Prairie du Chien. 

Cake, food and refreshments will be served throughout the day in the City Hall Community Room. Festivities for the day include a quilt show, medallion hunt, food truck, farmers market, live music and a 5K run/walk. The day will end with Concerts on the River at 6:30 p.m., and fireworks at dusk on the north field of St. Feriole Island. Pete’s Hamburger Stand will be open for special hours that day. Many downtown businesses will hold special events, deals and giveaways as well. Commemorative “Prairie du Chien Celebrates 150 Years” T-shirts are also for sale.
