Three people arrested in Ferryville drug bust On

Saturday, May 28, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from a concerned citizen of three individuals appearing to be under the influence of drugs and acting strange at a local business in the village of Ferryville. The individuals reportedly arrived in a blue Chevrolet Blazer. 

The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit responded to the area and located the above-mentioned vehicle traveling southbound on Main Street in Ferryville. The deputy noticed that the vehicle displayed two different license plates and had several equipment violations. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver as Jacob Bullis, 30, of Winona, Minn., and his passengers as Chartchai Khaokaew, 36, of La Crosse and Mollie Peck, 19, of La Crosse. The deputy noticed that Bullis, Khaokaew, and Peck exhibited signs of drug impairment and all three of them were on active bond conditions through other counties for numerous drug related charges. 

K-9 Breck was utilized and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances within the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and the following was located; fentanyl, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, ecstasy, oxycodone, Xanax, smoking devices, hypodermic needles, and suspected stolen property, etc.

Bullis, Khaokaew, and Peck were arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail and formally charged with possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver schedule II (oxycodone), possession with intent to deliver schedule IV (Xanax), possession of cocaine base, possession of drug paraphernalia, and bail jumping. 

Furthermore, Peck was charged with possession of schedule II drug (fentanyl patch), possession of stimulant drug (ecstasy), possession of schedule II drug (fentanyl), and possession of methamphetamine. 

Bullis was charged with operating with a restricted controlled substance, operating while suspended, operating without insurance, displaying false registration plates, and other equipment violations.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by Bob’s Towing and Crossing Rivers Health.

This case remains under investigation.
