MFL MarMac displayed another dominant effort May 5, beating Postville 169-226 at Tri City.

Three golfers—Grau, Wille and Nick Krambeer—shot 42s and were co-medalists. Ben Krambeer’s 43 earned him runner up honors.

In addition to the conference meets, the Bulldogs also challenged themselves in a triangular at Jesup on May 3, placing second as a team.

The host school’s 172 took the top spot, and MFL MarMac edged Wapsie Valley 186-188.

Jesup claimed both the meet medalist and runner up with a 40 from Jack Miller and 42 by Ethan Krall. Grau tied with J-Hawk Corbin Fuelling for third place, after shooting a 43.

Ben Krambeer’s 45 put him fifth, and Nick Krambeer and Quinn McGeough tied for 10th with 49s. Gabe McGeough and Keehner rounded out the scoring with a 51 and 58, respectively.

Now, the Bulldogs will look to continue their success at the Upper Iowa Conference meet at Tri City on May 9.

They currently boast the top three nine-hole lows in the UIC, with 38s by Grau and Ben Krambeer and a 39 by Nick Krambeer. Grau’s 40.63 nine-hole average is also nearly two strokes better than any other conference player, while Nick Krambeer sits third at 43.25.

After the conference meet, MFL MarMac will compete at Sectionals at Monticello Golf Course on May 11.
