The MFL MarMac girls golf team competed twice last week, gaining valuable experience in a meet against West Central before losing to a tough Clayton Ridge squad.

The Bulldogs shot a combined 260 in the April 19 meet versus the Blue Devils, who could not field a team score.

Miranda Lang’s 58 made her the meet medalist while sister Mallory was the runner up at 65. Morgan Jacobson shot a 67 and Clare Grau a 70 to round out the varsity scores.

Kaylee Nuehring and Olivia Martins both shot 69s, followed by Lauren Haberichter at 75 and Mackenzie Bachman at 80.

MFL MarMac had a tougher time on the Guttenberg course, losing to Clayton Ridge 273-220 on April 21.

Eagle Chloe Freeman earned medalist honors with a 52, and teammates Emma Kulper and Destiny Kemp were co-runners up after shooting 55s.

Miranda Lang’s 60 was the Bulldogs’ best score. Jacobson was next with a 67, followed by Haberichter at 72 and Mallory Lang at 74.

Other MFL MarMac scores included a 79 from Bachman, 81 from Martins, 88 from Nuehring and 90 by Grau.
