MFL MarMac girls continue golf season against West Central, Clayton Ridge

The MFL MarMac girls golf team competed twice last week, gaining valuable experience in a meet against West Central before losing to a tough Clayton Ridge squad.
The Bulldogs shot a combined 260 in the April 19 meet versus the Blue Devils, who could not field a team score.
Miranda Lang’s 58 made her the meet medalist while sister Mallory was the runner up at 65. Morgan Jacobson shot a 67 and Clare Grau a 70 to round out the varsity scores.
Kaylee Nuehring and Olivia Martins both shot 69s, followed by Lauren Haberichter at 75 and Mackenzie Bachman at 80.
MFL MarMac had a tougher time on the Guttenberg course, losing to Clayton Ridge 273-220 on April 21.
Eagle Chloe Freeman earned medalist honors with a 52, and teammates Emma Kulper and Destiny Kemp were co-runners up after shooting 55s.
Miranda Lang’s 60 was the Bulldogs’ best score. Jacobson was next with a 67, followed by Haberichter at 72 and Mallory Lang at 74.
Other MFL MarMac scores included a 79 from Bachman, 81 from Martins, 88 from Nuehring and 90 by Grau.
The Bulldogs are set to take on Turkey Valley April 25. They’ll host North Fayette Valley on April 28.
