River Ridge bested visiting Melrose-Mindoro 59-51 in a WIAA Division 4 Regional Semifinal Friday night March 4 in boys basketball action.

Second seeded River Ridge built a 32-20 halftime advantage. Seventh seeded Melrose took the second half 31-27.

David Nies led the Timberwolves with 20 points. Braden Crubel added 14.

River Ridge improved to 24-1 on the season to advance to the regional final. Melrose-Mindoro ended their season at 16-10.
