Kaye M. Morel, of Hendersville, N.C., died on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022, of Alzheimer’s.

Kaye was born in Muscoda to Robert and Jeanette Walsh on Jan. 15, 1943. She was married to Ken Arneson, from which two sons were born. Later, she married Dennis Morel. She was the Chamber Director in McGregor for several years and then took the position of economic developer in Elkader, Iowa. She and Dennis moved to Hendersonville, N.C. after their retirement. They enjoyed many years of exploring the area and meeting new friends. Kaye continued with her writing while there, as well as gardening and photography.

She is survived, and will be sadly missed, by her husband of 42 years, Dennis; two sons, Eric Arneson of Atlanta, Ga., Ed Arneson of Flowery Branch, Ga.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

A family service will be held at a later date.

Kaye was so involved with our area for so many years and did so many things that all of it could not be  wrtitten down. I’m sure that many of you who knew her have wonderful memories to reflect upon.
