Clifford Gilbert Peters, 85, of Prairie du Chien, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, at Crossing Rivers Health hospital in Prairie du Chien. 

Clifford was born March 4, 1936, in rural Wood County, to Fred and Francis Peters. He lived around Prairie du Chien most of his life. He enjoyed traveling, exploring new places, fishing and his boys.  

Surviving Clifford are his two sons, Adam, 41, of Clinton and John, 39, of Elkhorn. 

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents and was the last of nine brothers and sisters.   

A Memorial Service will be held. Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, of Prairie du Chien, is assisting the family with arrangements.
