Carol Lynne Wordehoff, 75, of Guttenberg, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital in Guttenberg.

Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 21, from 3-7 p.m. at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 22, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Guttenberg, conducted by Rev. Marvin Bries.

Interment will be at Hansel Cemetery, Garber.

Carol was born on Feb. 11, 1946, to Edward and Mary (Clark) Lange in Dubuque. She was the youngest of six children. On June 24, 1967, she married the love of her life, David Wordehoff in Dubuque. In 1974, they were blessed with one daughter, Laurie.

Carol worked for 35 years as the secretary for Nordic Forge in Guttenberg. When she wasn’t working she enjoyed a variety of activities such as; Bingo; playing euchre; Facebook games; being part of a bowling league and attending many tournaments. Carol also had a delight of watching her favorite TV show Days of Our Lives, which she never missed; she also loved going out to eat at Spring Lake with her friends on Friday nights. Carol had an endless love for her family and her dogs. David and Carol took many vacations camping as well as in a cabin by the lake. She enjoyed traveling to Laughlin, Nev. in the winter with good friends. 

Carol will forever be cherished by her husband; David Wordehoff of 54 years; their daughter, Laurie (Jeremy) Hansel of Waverly; brother, James (Judy) Lange of East Dubuque, Ill.; her dog, Oreo, who was at her side every day in the hospital; also, her “extra daughters,” Brenda Leliefeld, Stephanie Radabaugh, and Jenna Randall, as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Carol is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; Edward Lange Jr. and Clark Lange; two sisters; Lavonne Moffit and Gail Sadler, as well as her mother and father-in-law, Merle and Kay Wordehoff.
