Victoria Ann Merritt, 62, of Strawberry Point, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 24, 2021, at her residence, surrounded by family, after a long, courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born Oct. 30, 1958, to Gene Edward and Janice Joan (Zapf) West in Prairie du Chien, Wis. Vickie was well known for being a good cook and had many highly sought after dishes such as her potato salad, goulash and chili. Vickie was never a complainer and always kept a positive attitude, which made her a joy to be around, and she will be truly missed by all. Vickie was confirmed and a longtime member of the Hope Lutheran Church in Littleport.

Vickie was preceded in death by her son, Michael Nading; her infant grandson, William Nading; mother, Janice West; and sister, Tammy West.
