Guttenberg Umbrella Arts members are once again hosting their popular River of Music (ROM) concert series. All concerts are free and held on Friday evenings beginning June 4 through Aug. 7, from 6-8 p.m., with the exception of July 2, which will be held from 6-9 p.m., kicking off Guttenberg's Stars and Stripes celebration.  Musicians will perform under the band shelter located in Ingleside Park at the intersection of China Street and North River Park Drive.

COVID-19 restrictions (masks and social distancing) will apply unless otherwise announced. "We are requesting masks be worn while entering and exiting the park and family units sit together," said event organizers.

Donations are accepted to help cover costs of art-related Umbrella Arts sponsored projects. Concert attendees can enjoy a variety of music genres performed by local and regional musicians. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, picnic dinner and your cooler (glass containers are not allowed), and enjoy the performance under a canopy of majestic shade trees while enjoying panoramic views of the Mississippi River. All ages are welcome for this family friendly event. Concerts will be held rain or shine with no alternate location.

 The Side Project

June 4 - Umbrella Arts will kick off its 2021 Summer Concert Series with "The Side Project." While all working full time jobs, "The Side Project" started out as a small garage band in Guttenberg simply because of the love of music of all walks and genres. The classic rock band's members include John Collins on drums; Derrick Livingston on bass; lead guitarist Aaron Reed and vocalist Angela Reed.

Steve and Michele Dikkers

Just for Fun
