Dolores R. Miller
Delores R. Miller, 90, of Prairie du Chien, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at Prairie Maison, surrounded by her family.
She was born on Dec. 17, 1930, in Jefferson, the daughter of Elmer and Alvina (Lange) Walther. Delores married Kenneth “Bud” Miller on Sept. 24, 1949, in Jefferson. Together they relocated to Prairie du Chien in 1961. Kenneth later preceded her in death on July 5, 1987. Delores managed the Wisconsin Tourist Information Center and was the Crawford County Matron where she served as a Bailiff. Delores enjoyed playing cards, scrabble, and working on crossword puzzles. She was a former member of the Eagles Club Auxiliary Aerie 1502. Delores loved to bake and collect angels, but most of all she cherished her family more than anything else.
Delores is survived by her son, Pete (Debbie) Miller; her daughters, Vicki and Patricia Miller; grandchildren, Michelle Dama, Melissa Marta, Camille Miller, Dylan Miller, and Jonathan Miller; eight great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Kenneth; her parents; and a brother, Robert.
Funeral services were held on Monday, May 3, at St. Peter Lutheran Church with Pastor Miranda Klosterboer officiating, and burial in the Evergreen Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church. All in attendance will be required to wear a mask and follow CDC guidelines. The Garrity Funeral Home, of Prairie du Chien, is assisting the family.
