The MFL MarMac boys golf team picked up two more victories last week, defeating both West Central and Clayton Ridge.

The 196-225 win over the Blue Devils came on April 19. Senior Gavin Meana was the meet medalist with a score of 47. Joe Grau was right behind him with a 48, and earned runner-up status.

Braden Landt continued to play well, shooting a 50, while Ben Miene had a 51. Sawyer Keehner came in at 55 and Nick Krambeer at 57. Jaxton Schroeder and Will Koether both had scores of 66.

The result was closer April 22, when MFL MarMac edged Clayton Ridge 194-198 at Tri City Golf Course. Landt had a 44 and was the meet medalist. Meana was the runner up after shooting a 45.

Grau followed up his strong showing earlier in the week with a 50, and Jonah Wille and Krambeer both had scores of 55. Keehner shot a 56 and Miene a 58, while Collin Henkels came in at 70, Koether at 73 and Schroeder at 82.

The MFL MarMac girls team faced off against only Clayton Ridge last week, since West Central did not field a girls team. The Eagles proved too much at the April 22 meet, besting the Bulldogs 231-289. Clayton Ridge’s Savannah Meyer shot a 52 and was the medalist, while Kailee Zapf was the runner up with a 56.

Miranda Lang was MFL MarMac’s best finisher, shooting a 63. She was followed by Rose Grau with a 70 and Haylee Guyer with a 77. Mallory Lang and Chylie Feuerhelm both shot 79s.

Both the boys and girls will play twice this week, hosting Turkey Valley on April 26, then heading to NFV on April 29.
