A 33-year-old Fennimore man has been charged in Crawford County Circuit Court with one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.

Benjamin Everson faces up to 15 years in prison and a $50,000 fine if convicted.

According to the criminal complaint, following a traffic stop for a suspended license, a K-9 was deployed around the Everson’s vehicle and alerted to the presence of narcotics. A Prairie du Chien police officer then searched the vehicle and located a plastic baggie that contained about 4.5 grams of meth. Everson admitted to the officer that he had just bought the meth for $210, according to the complaint. Everson told the officer he was going to deliver the meth to a friend, the complaint said.
