On March 25, at 5:57 p.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call of a vehicle on fire on Highway 60 at Gran Grae Road in the township of Wauzeka.

Emily K. Wetter, 36, Boscobel, was operating a 2014 Ford Escape on Highway 60. The vehicle stalled and an indicator on the dash alerted Wetter to a mechanical issue. She was able to safely pull off the roadway and noticed the engine compartment was smoking. Wetter then noticed flames from the vehicle and reported the fire. The Wauzeka Fire Department arrived and shut down one lane of traffic while extinguishing the fire. The vehicle, which was a complete loss, was removed by Terry’s Tire and Tow. There were no injuries.
