Terrence J. ‘Terry’ Zinkle
Terrence J. “Terry” Zinkle, 76, of Prairie du Chien, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.
He was born Feb. 22, 1944, in Prairie du Chien, the son of Thomas and Anne (Honzel) Zinkle. Terry worked for the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department as a detective and later for the Prairie du Chien Police Department as Assistant Chief of Police. He loved to fish and was the past president of the Falling Rock Walleye Club.
He is survived by his wife Sandra; his children, Curt (Shelly), Andy (Stephanie), Brandon (Jennifer), Kim Zinkle, Melody Moose, Lisa (Steve) Long, Diane (Bob) Brennan, Linda (Kevin) Pospisil, and Sandy Pont; his brother, Tom; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronald Zinkle S.J.; his sisters, Marilyn Huser and Carol Mulrooney; and his grandson, Clinton Shedivy.
The family is planning a Celebration of Terry’s Life for a future date. The Garrity Funeral Home, of Prairie du Chien, is assisting the family.
