Terry E. Reglin, 66, of Prairie du Chien, passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021, in La Crosse.

Terry was born Jan. 6, 1955, in Arcadia, to Arvin and Fern (Piel) Reglin. After graduating from Arcadia High School in 1974, Terry went to work for Material Service Corporation in Lockport, Ill., where he began his journey on the river. He was a deckhand, became a cook on the boats, and worked his way up to a captain in 1978. In 1979, Terry established Coulee Region Towing, LTD, became president of the company and bought a towboat in Tampa, Fla. Coulee Region Towing ran a tug service in the La Crosse Harbor, La Crosse, from 1980-81. In 1982, Coulee Region Towing moved its marine operations to Clayton, Iowa. At that point, Clayton Tug Service was established and Terry ran the business until he retired in 2015, after spending 41 years on the river. On July 20, 2020, Clayton Tug Services named a boat Terry Reglin in honor of Terry.

Terry married Anita (Bradley) in La Crosse, in 1981. They were married for 39 years. Terry had a tender heart with a focus on putting his time and energy into helping individuals in any way that he could. Throughout the years, he spent lots of time on the ski slopes, going to dirt track races, traveling throughout the U.S., and making many friendships with people that he met on his travels. Terry enjoyed growing food in his ever evolving garden, harvesting and delivering food for others; he always enjoyed every bit of the experience. The highlight of his retirement was spending time with his children and grandchildren, going to Amish auctions, taking road trips to visit friends and enjoying the outdoors.

Terry is survived by his wife, Anita; children, Brad (Nahnie) Reglin of Sun Prairie, Angie (Tony) Zubella of Iola, Kelly (Craig) Mezera of Caledonia, Mark (Alex) Reglin of Beaver Dam; brother, Dennis Reglin of Waumandee; sister, Mary Lou (Maynard) Pronschinske of Waumandee; nephew, Cory (Kelly) Pronschinske of Trempealeau; and niece; Cheyanne (Anthony) Swift, of Trempealeau. He is survived by his grandchildren, Audriana, Alexzander and Atarion Zubella, Addison and Brooklyn Mezera, and Dominic Reglin; also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Arvin and Fern Reglin; and his grandparents.

Private family services will be held at a later date at St. Boniface Parish in Waumandee. Talbot Family Funeral Homes of Cochrane, assisted the family with arrangements. Please share your memory of Terry or express your words of comfort at www.talbotfuneralhomes.com.
