Katzung competes at State Cross Country
It was finally here, the State Cross Country Meet in Colby, Wis. The sun was slightly peeking through the clouds, winds were upwards of 25 mph, and the temperature was sitting at a cool 45 degrees at race time.
Meg Katzung, a Prairie du Chien senior, took to the start line one last time to finish her high school career.
Meg also had a good sized fan base make the drive up to support and cheer for her.
By the end of the race, Meg had picked up her best finish in her four trips to state. In 2017, Meg finished 64th with a 20:58. She was in 35th place in 2018 with a 20:17, and took 53rd place in 2019 with a 20:34. This year, she finished in 28th place overall with a 20:30.
Congratulations on a great year and career, Meg!
