Reece attended and graduated from the Elkader High School in 1966. On Nov. 3, 1968, Reece was united in marriage with Rita Allyn and together they were blessed with two children, Ryan and Leah. Reece not only was born on his family farm, but he grew up working on the farm and eventually lived on that same farm for many years until he and Rita retired and moved to Guttenberg in 2013, where they enjoyed living by the river, biking, walking and enjoying the new friends they have made.
