Bob Edwards Shaw, 74, of Manchester, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester. He was born on Jan. 14, 1946, in Denver, Colo., the son of Anthony and Lottie (Edwards) Shaw. Bob was raised and educated in Hugo, Colo., and was a graduate of Hugh High School. Bob received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado and also completed his master’s degree in school administration.

On Aug. 24, 1974, Bob was united in marriage to Judy Eckhardt in Denver, Colo. The family moved to Iowa and Bob began his career with Keystone AEA in Elkader. Bob completed his PhD in education from the University of Iowa, while also serving as the director of administrative services at Keystone.  

Bob enjoyed lifting weights, was a spectator of many types of sports, attended church with Judy and loved driving his Miata sports car on many day trips.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Judy Shaw of Manchester; his daughter, Megan (Jeremy Brown) Shaw of Seattle, Wash.; his son, Nathan Shaw of Cedar Rapids; and his granddaughter, Ella Shaw.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Bonita Noah.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, at The Stone Church in Manchester, with Kevin Smith officiating. Friends may call beforehand from 6 to 6:30 p.m.
