David Nies of the Timberwolves drives to the hoop against visiting Fennimore.

Fennimore defeated host River Ridge 70-48 in a nonconference boys basketball game Tuesday night, Nov. 26.

Fennimore led 35-27 at the half.

The Golden Eagles took the second half 35-21 to earn the victory in the opening game of the season for both teams.

Cole Crubel scored 25 points for the Timberwolves, including 5 of 8 shooting on 2-pointers and 5 of 10 on 3-pointers. Lance Nichols added 7 points.

River Ridge will next travel to Lancaster on Dec. 3.
