The Central boys’ golf team returns four letter winners this season. They are Cayden Hansel, Andy Seeland, Drake Dennler, and Reegan Erickson. Joining those four are Weston Helgerson, Evan Pensel, Tommy Seeland, Zander Purman, Aaron Gibney, Karl Gardner, Ben Kelly, Michael Heer, Hazen Loan, Parker Smith, and Luke Buchholz.
“We are young with only one senior, and that is first year senior Ben Kelly,” Coach Jamie Rodenberg said.  “These guys are eager to play some holes, and have a golf meet, but as all other schools in the conference have had to deal with Mother Nature not cooperating. Our first two meets have been postponed because of weather, and we are hopefully looking forward to our first meet at home on April 12th, with Postville.”
“I would assume North Fayette Valley and South Winn will be the front runners in the conference, with our boys in the middle of the pack,” Coach Rodenberg continued.  “I have been impressed with our team’s attitude, since we have had to be inside hitting most of the season since March 14th.”
Girls’ golf
“The Central girls’ golf team has a positive attitude,” Coach Jamie Rodenberg said. Returning letter winners are seniors Megan Glawe, Lauryn Swigert and juniors Olivia Backes, and Haley Rentschler.   Promising newcomers are sophomores Jenna Helgerson and Claire Hertrampf, along with freshman Madison Sylvester and Anna Hauschild.
“All these girls have had a fun and positive attitude this first three weeks,” Coach Rodenberg said.  “Senior three-year letter winner Megan Glawe should be our leader. These girls are fun to work with, and want to get better. They just need the experience to get outside.”
“Front runners in the conference will probably be Clayton Ridge and South Winn,” Coach Rodenberg added.
