Three from Iowa arrested in connection to burglary investigations
On March 2, after an extensive investigation, the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Monona Police Department, executed two separate search warrants in Luana and Monona relating to several burglary investigations. According to a release from the sheriff’s office, during both warrants, deputies seized numerous tools, trailers and other items exceeding $10,000.
As a result of this investigation, John Kottman, 41, of Luana; Jennifer Trappe, 40, of Luana; and Marty Bissell, 57, of Monona, were all arrested.
Kottman is facing charges of two counts of delivery of methamphetamines (class C felony) and theft first degree (class C felony). Trappe faces a charge of possession of stolen property (aggravated misdemeanor), while Bissell faces charges of theft first degree (class C felony) and possession of a firearm as a felon (class D felony).
The sheriff’s office says the investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are expected as deputies continue their investigation.
Kottman remains in the Clayton County Jail on $25,000 bond and Bissell remains on $15,000 bond. Trappe was released from jail after posting a cash bond.
