William Henry “Bill” Sander
William Henry “Bill” Sander, 85, of Boscobel, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 17, at the Good Samaritan Society in Fennimore.
He was born on Aug. 2, 1932, in Wauzeka. The son of Fred and Dorothy (Hudson) Sander. He married Ardith Fortney on March 24, 1954, at the United Methodist Church in Eastman. He farmed on Niland Ridge between Wauzeka and Steuben until retiring to Boscobel in 2005. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Ardith Sander, of Boscobel; his children: Sue (Greg) Hurda, of Boscobel, Janet (Rob) Lathrop, of Boscobel, Judy Lange, of Prairie du Chien, Fred (Tammy) Sander, of Boscobel; grandchildren Tyan (Bill) Hying, of Muscoda, Kaylee Hurda, of Boscobel, Kyle (Vicki) Sander, of Boscobel, Elisha (Jason) Jaedike, of Plain, Delaine Hurda, of Cannon Falls Minn., Kristin Sander, of Blue River, Kari Sander, of Boscobel, Brianna (Kenny) Schumacher, of Madison, Danielle Lathrop, of Winona Minn., Karl (Kayla) Sander, of Steuben, Bridgette Lange (Dalton Hardy), of Caddott, Kasey (Chelssi) Lathrop, of Boscobel; 16 great-grandchildren; six sisters: Wilma Rounds, of Boscobel, Lena Tainter, of Gays Mills, Irene Cudney, of Beloit, Alma Schleicher, of Cassville, Mary (Jinx) Walters, of Wauzeka, Emily (Jim) Jeglum, of Reeseville, two brothers: John Sander, of La Crosse, Jim Sander, of Boaz; four sisters-in-law: Phyllis Sander, of Wauzeka, Theresa Sander, of Steuben, Marion Austin, of Laughlin, Nev., Celia (Don) Rose, of Prairie du Chien; a brother-in-law Stan (Bonnie) Fortney, of Boscobel; many nieces and nephews cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two great-grandchildren, Donavon Sander and Miles Gregory Davis; two brothers, Dick Sander, Don Sander; and a sister, Margaret Brandes.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Dec. 22, at 11 a.m., at the Century Hall in Wauzeka. Pastors Lynn Schreck and Mary Ann Floreke officiating. Burial in the Wauzeka Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Century Hall in Wauzeka.
