Wyalusing State Park celebrates 100th Anniversary

Wyalusing State Park hosted its 100th anniversary celebration on Saturday with several events for the public to enjoy.

There was an open house and free admission with activities for the whole family including nature hikes, children’s games, a 5K trail walk, history and park presentations, free fishing fun, a “Touch of the Wild” exhibit and music.

Wyalusing State Park, located at the confluence of the Wisconsin and Mississippi rivers, is the state’s fourth oldest state park and one of the prettiest, offering great bluff-top views of the backwaters and main channels of the two great rivers.

Wyalusing State Park is open year-round from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The Friends of Wyalusing, the Prairie du Chien Chamber of Commerce and the Wisconsin DNR hosted the 100th anniversary celebration.
