Hillmen end 

Hawks’ season

Fourth seeded Platteville defeated top seeded Prairie du Chien 52-38 in a WIAA Division 3 Regional final to end the Blackhawks’ season Saturday night.

The Hillmen led the Blackhawks 19-13 at the half and then took the second half 33-25 for the win.

Wesley Schwager netted 13 points to pace the Blackhawks. Nathan Banasik added 11. Josh Lenzendorf scored 9 and Chas Sagedahl had 5.

Prairie du Chien finished the season with a 21-3 overall record. They were the champions of the Southwest Wisconsin Conference with a 10-0 mark.

On Friday night in the regional semifinal, top seeded Prairie du Chien beat visiting and eighth seeded Richland Center 69-42.
