Robert A. Schwietert
Robert Arthur Schwietert, 67, of Manchester, died on Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester.
Visitation was Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Lone Pine Country Club in Colesburg.
Memorial services were Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Colesburg United Methodist Church in Colesburg, conducted by Pastor Joan Thomas.
Inurnment was at Zion Cemetery, Colesburg.
Bob was born on May 2, 1949, in Manchester, the son of Warren and Mazie (Trottnow) Schwietert. He was raised and educated in the Colesburg area, and was a 1967 Ed-Co High School graduate. Bob attended Ellsworth Community College after high school.
Bob served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. After returning from the service he resided in Manchester and worked various jobs until he was employed as a Rural Postal Carrier for the U.S. Post Office in Manchester.
Bob enjoyed camping, wintering in Arizona, and NASCAR.
Survivors include one brother, Kenneth (Helen) Schwietert of Colesburg; brother-in-law, John Ross of Colesburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, David Schwietert; and a sister, Debra Ross.
