sweeps Riverdale
Top seeded Seneca swept visiting eighth-seeded Riverdale three games to none in Division 4 Regional volleyball Tuesday night.
Seneca won by scores of 25-18, 25-9 and 25-18 to advance in the playoffs. They will host No. 4 Ithaca on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the regional semifinal.
Liv Swanson had 10 kills for Seneca. Haley Wall had 7 kills. Erin Sime had 4 kills. Alivia Salinas recorded 9 digs. Wall had 7 digs and Mckenna Greene had 5 digs. Emily Garfoot had 11 assists and Becky Trautsch had 9 assists. Alivia Salinas was 18 of 19 on serves and Greene was 13 of 14 on serves.
