Pecatonica-Argyle defeated host River Ridge 48-6 in high school football action in Bloomington Friday night.
P-A scored on a 10-yard pass and a PAT to go up 7-0 in the first quarter. P-A scored again in the quarter on a 68-yard pass to take a 13-0 lead after one period.
P-A scored on a 1-yard run and PAT in the second quarter to increase their lead to 21-0. P-A scored on a 7-yard run but the 2-point pass attempt failed and P-A held a 26-0 halftime advantage.
P-A scored 14 points in the third period on an 18-yard TD pass and extra point and an 8-yard TD run and an extra point to take a 40-0 lead.
River Ridge got on the board in the fourth quarter on a 6-yard run by Tyler Millin to get to within 40-6.
P-A scored on a 4-yard run and the 2-point conversion run was good to make the final score 48-6.
River Ridge will next travel to Potosi on Oct. 7.
