Odean Lydia Chunat, age 74, of Wauzeka passed away at Gundersen Luthern hospital in La Crosse on Sept. 23, after a brief illness.

Odean was the daughter of Melvin and Cyrina (Zabel) Chunat, both parents preceded her in death.

Odean was a life long resident of Wauzeka. She attended Wauzeka Public school and graduated in 1960. She held dear her memories of her school days, along with her special class mate Carol DuCharme. 

Odean continued to operate the family dairy farm after her parents death, and continued to dairy until she retired in the winter of 2002.

Odean enjoyed working with animals, mowing hay, driving tractor and, visiting with those she considered family.

She is survived by her God daughter, Lydia Holt, dear friends: Brenda Davidson, Mary Woodson and Carol DuCharme.

Services for Odean Lydia Chunat will be held at the Century Hall in Wauzeka, Tuesday, Sept. 27. Visitation from 4 to 7:30 p.m., with a service at 7:30 p.m. Internment will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Wauzeka Cemetery, all are welcome.
