Mark Meyer, 60, of Colesburg, died Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital in Guttenberg.

Visitation was Monday, Sept. 12, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg and one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Sept. 13, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Guttenberg, conducted by Rev. Shane Anderson.

Interment was at Bethel Cemetery, Colesburg.

Mark was born on Aug. 24, 1956, the son of Ronald Meyer and Marlene Amundson.

Mark received his education and graduated from the Edgewood-Colesburg High School with the class of 1974.  Mark has lived on the family farm his entire life.  He played in several bands through the years and loved his International tractors.  Mark loved tractor pulling with the neighbors, the Ridgerunner Pulling Team, but most of all with his son Eric.  Mark grew up helping on the family farm and later bought the farm.  Mark and Barb milked cows for 29 years with their children.  Mark also started working for the Clayton County Roadside Management in January of 2007.

Mark will be forever loved and cherished by his wife of 40 years, Barb; three children, Melony (Jamie) Postel, Eric (Andrea) Meyer, Mindy Meyer and Laura Hickey; grandchildren, Karli, Layne, Alyssa, Morgan and Jake; special friends, Mark's dogs, Hank and Bear; three sisters, Deb (Dale) Gassman, LuAnn (John) Hunt and Shawna (Wade) Helle; sister-in-law, Brenda (Gene) Hansel; brother-in-law, Brad (Sheila) Smock; step-mother, Gertie Meyer and many other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.
