Beverly D. Wallin
Beverly D. Wallin, 86, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, July 4, with her loving family by her side.
She was born on May 5, 1930, the daughter of Allen and Freda (Turk) Powers of rural Seneca. Beverly graduated from Seneca High School in 1948. On June 30, 1948, she married Charles Wallin and from this union seven children were born. Beverly worked at the Dug Out, Dickeyville and also Dick’s Supermarket in Lancaster. Charles and Beverly were members of the Lucky Lancers Motorcycle Club and Snoopy SnoGoers Snowmobile Club. They enjoyed fishing, boating, and traveling. Many winters were spent in Texas. Beverly was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church. She was well known for her sense of humor, her positive outlook on life, and her beautiful smile.
Survivors include her children, Dee (John) Medinger, Linda (Mark) Clement, Carl (Robyn) Wallin, Mary Chapman, Ann (Ray) Anderson, Randy (Kim) Wallin, and Sue Miles; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; her sister, Carmen; brothers and sisters-in-law Robert Wallin, Norma (Fred) Wagner, Jim (Mary) Wallin, Wilma (Clinton) Smith; a special friend, Ron Kjos and his family Pam (Dean) Johnson, Cheryl Olson, David (Ann) Kjos, Karen (Pat) Schroeder; other loving relatives and many friends. Ron and his family were very supportive to Beverly during her illness.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Chuck; brothers, Gerald and Dick, and a granddaughter, Jessica Rose Johnson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 8, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Reverend John Sasse officiating. Burial will be in St. Clement Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends may call on Thursday, July 7, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lancaster. Family and friends may also call on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Beverly D. Wallin Memorial Fund has been established.
