Three area 

track athletes 

at State Meet

Three area track athletes competed at the State Track Meet at UW-La Crosse on Friday and Saturday. 

Prairie du Chien junior Wesley Schwager finished ninth in the Division 2 boys high jump with a leap of 6-0 Saturday morning.

Franci Gates, a senior from River Ridge, took 13th in the Division 3 girls pole vault with a height of 8-6 Saturday morning.

On Friday, Tatem Baures, a junior from Wauzeka-Steuben, was sixth in the Division  3 girls 3200-meter run in a time of 11:35.64 to score 3 points. On Saturday, Baures was sixth in the 1600-meter run in a time of 5:22.95 to score another 3 points. Wauzeka-Steuben tied for 38th with 6 points.
