River Ridge blanked visiting Wauzeka-Steuben 8-0 in a nonconference baseball game in Patch Grove Tuesday afternoon.
The Timberwolves scored 6 runs in the bottom of the second inning to take a 6-0 lead.
River Ridge scored twice more in the fourth inning en route to the win.
River Ridge scored 8 runs on 10 hits and committed 1 error. Wauzeka-Steuben had 2 hits and committed 1 error.
Dylan Hazen earned the pitching victory. He fanned 11, walked 1 and gave up just 2 hits in 7 innings while pitching a shutout.
Jacob Bird took the loss for Wauzeka-Steuben.
Brett Moravits was 2x3 for River Ridge. Bo Kluesner was 2x3 with an RBI.
Preston Crowley-Lee was 2x3 for Wauzeka-Steuben’s 2 hits.
