Harold F. Lenzendorf
Harold F. Lenzendorf, 85, of Eastman passed away Sunday, Feb. 21, at his home surrounded by his family following an extended illness.
He was born Feb. 22, 1930 in Marietta Township, the son of Robert and Amy (Watters) Lenzendorf. He married Glenda Jane Heal on Feb. 6, 1951. Harold farmed most of their lives in the Eastman area. He was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church in Eastman. Harold loved farming, his family and his friends.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Glenda Jane Lenzendorf of Eastman; his sons, Dean (Denise) of Eastman and Dale (Dawn) of Seneca; his daughters, Deb (Mike) Henthorn, Dawn (Perry) Kansier and Dana (Dean) Trautsch all of Eastman; his sister Helen (Herb) Schneider of Prairie du Chien; sisters-in-law, Pat Lenzendorf of Prairie du Chien, Ruth Lenzendorf of Madison, Violet Lenzendorf of Eastman and Patricia Lenzendorf of Las Vegas, Nev.; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lloyd, Earl, Robert, LeRoy, Fay and Lyle; his sisters, Shirley Vogel, Jean Blocklinger, Evelyn Reed, Carol Beckett and Darlene Schlueter.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 11 a.m. at the Salem United Methodist Church, Rev. Lynn Schreck officiating with burial in the National Cemetery both in Eastman. Friends may call on Tuesday, Feb. 23, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
