Specialties provided in cardiology, endocrinology, pelvic floor issues and beyond

In July 2015, Crossing Rivers Health expanded to offer a new Center for Specialty Care to patients in southwest Wisconsin and northeast Iowa who want to be seen by specialists locally rather than drive out of town for such care. Having these specialists available regularly also means more opportunities for community education.
“The Center for Specialty Care was developed to meet the health care needs of the area, as they were identified from a community health needs assessment,” stated Mandy Pettit, clinic nurse manager and lactation consultant for Crossing Rivers Health. “A lot of our growth has come from that assessment. We’re really happy to bring these services to life right here, close to home for our patients in the region.”
The Center for Specialty Care is located at the medical center, in the outpatient services area from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and in the urgent care area after hours.
New specialist services include:
Cardiology—A full spectrum of heart care is available through Drs. R. Ramabadran and Rami Eltibi, who can evaluate and treat coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, cardiac rhythm and congenital heart defects and more. Echocardiography, stress training and carotid ultrasound technology is also available.
Gynecology—Dr. Steven Bush, Crossing Rivers’ chief medical officer, is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, with specialties in gynecological surgery, infertility and reproductive, laparoscopic surgery, minimally invasive surgery and women’s health. He can also provide routine gynecological care including treatment of heavy periods, endometriosis, infertility, pelvic pain, etc.
Pelvic floor—Dr. Jason Rexroth provides treatment and management of pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence as well as hysterectomy options through minimally invasive surgery.
Allergy, asthma and immunology—A complete range of treatment for seasonal allergies, sinus infections, asthma, illnesses caused by allergic reactions, and other recurrent issues can be tended to by Dr. John Moore, a Medical Associates specialist.
Podiatry—From hammertoes to bunions and more, Dr. Nicholas Lombardo treats conditions of the foot, ankle and related structure of the leg.
Ear, nose and throat—Coming in March, otolaryngologist Dr. Timothy King specializes in head and neck problems such as sinus issues, sore throats, adenoids, ear infections, skin cancer lesion removal and more.
Endocrinology—Nurse practitioner Amy Connelly will be working with Crossing Rivers’ endocrinologist to manage diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, etc.
“We’re very lucky to have this team of specialists available more routinely, especially for people at risk,” Pettit said.
