Dorritt May Lessard passed away at Pittsburg University Mercy Hospital on July 8, at the age of 84.

Dorritt was born in Eastman, on April 19, 1931. She was a dedicated wife and mother, enthusiastically supporting her family throughout her life, providing love, care, and encouragement in whatever life’s journey presented to her family. She was also a dedicated professional, working in the insurance industry until her retirement in 1987. Dorritt enjoyed reading, gardening, and bird watching. 

Dorritt is predeceased by her husband, Vernon (Buzz) Lessard of Prairie du Chien. Dorritt and Buzz were married 61 years prior to his passing, October 19, 2007.

Dorritt is lovingly remembered by her four sons, Patrick Arthur Lessard and his wife Sandra of Prairie du Chien, Vance Vernon Lessard and his wife Beverly of Ashburn, Va., Michael William Lessard and Shawn Lessard, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; and their children and grandchildren, granddaughter Donna Estudillo, great granddaughter Nicole Grant, granddaughter Helen Lessard, grandson Charles Lafave, great granddaughter Amanda Lefave, and grandson John Lefave, great grandson Dalton Lefave, great grandson Dustin Lefave, great grandson Daylee Lefave, grandson Vance Edward Lessard, great grandson Theodore Ezra John Lessard, granddaughter Aimee Lessard, grandson Eric Anthony Lessard, great grandson Braven Anthony Lessard, granddaughter Andrea Lynn Lessard, and granddaughter Nichole.

To honor the explicit wishes of our Mother, a private graveside interment for immediate family members will be held on a future date and time that has yet to be determined.
