Cassville-River Ridge, Pecatonica, Southwestern and Seneca competed in the Cassville-River Ridge Softball Tournament on Saturday in Bloomington.
In Round 1, Cassville-River Ridge defeated Pecatonica 14-9.
CRR led 8-2 following one complete inning and 11-2 after two innings.
CRR scored 2 runs in the top of the third and 1 in the fourth to go up 14-2.
Pecatonica scored 4 runs in the bottom of the fifth and 3 in the seventh to make the final 14-9.
Also in Round 1, Seneca defeated Southwestern 13-11.
In the Consolation Game, Southwestern beat Pecatonica 6-5.
In the Championship Game, Cassville-River Ridge topped Seneca 16-6 in five innings.
CRR scored a run in the top of the first to go up 1-0.
Seneca scored a run in the bottom of the second to tie the game at 1-1.
Seneca then rallied for 4 runs in the third to go ahead 5-1.
CRR scored 11 big runs in the top of the fourth and Seneca scored 1 in the bottom half to make the score 12-6 in favor of Cassville-River Ridge.
CRR scored 4 runs in the top of the fifth and held Seneca in the bottom of the fifth to earn the 16-6 win.
