Agnes was born on July 31, 1912, in Dickinson, N.D., the daughter of George and Margaret (Joyce) Hamilton.

On July 26, 1934, Agnes was united in marriage with Fred J. Schure in Belvidere, Ill. After church on Sunday, Agnes would drive and she and her widow friends would all go out to eat.
