A 45-year-old Eastman man has been charged in Crawford County Circuit Court with one count of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fifth offense).
Corey Lee Hammond faces up to six years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted.
According to the criminal complaint, Hammond was driving in Prairie du Chien when he attempted to make a turn, missed the street and ended up in snowbank in a nearby yard. Hammond then backed up and proceeded down the street, the complaint said.
A Prairie du Chien Police Officer then stopped Hammond and subsequently placed him under arrest.
Hammond has previously been convicted of an OWI four times.
