Highland 

gets past W-S girls

Highland narrowly defeated host Wauzeka-Steuben 50-46 in nonconference girls basketball action Monday night. 

Highland led 15-14 after the first quarter and 24-20 at halftime. 

The Lady Hornets outscored the Cardinals 18-12 in the third quarter to take the lead at 38-36. 

Highland took the fourth period, however, 14-8 to pull out the victory. 

Celina Giddings netted 14 points for Wauzeka-Steuben. Molly Heisz scored 11.
