Congresswoman Ashley Hinson held a town hall event at Johnson’s Reception Hall, in Elkader, on May 6. It included a brief speech and Q&A session with constituents.

She delivered a brief speech on her work in Congress, which focused on the state of the economy, securing the southern border, ensuring every Iowan has freedom and opportunity and doing what’s best for the communities in the district she represents.

Central girls track and field has victorious performance at UIC meet

Lexi Loan finished fourth in the long jump at the conference meet in Postville.

Keeley Curran hands the baton to Aspen Rork in Central's second place 4x800 relay.

Coral Rork finished seventh in the 3000 meter run at the conference meet.

Central won the 4x400 relay thanks to Jaydin Dettman, Delaney Scherf, Kaitlyn Wiley and Hannah Asche.

Record breaking UIC meet for McShane

Bulldog freshman Jacob Schellhorn posted a personal best time of 4:56.62 in the 1600 meter run, to place second.

Rylee Kugel and his Bulldog teammates raced to fourth in the 440 shuttle hurdle relay.

Wyatt Powell placed third in the 100 meter dash and also ran well in the 200, where he was sixth.

Tucker Ruff crossed the finish line eighth in the 800 meter run.

Aiden Schoulte’s distance of 40 feet, 4 inches placed him sixth in the shot put.

Izayah Streicher was a key member of MFL MarMac's 4x200 and 4x200 relays that placed third at conference. He was also part of the eighth place 4x400.

Busy week for Bulldog golfers

Miranda Lang's 56 made her the runner up in the May 5 meet against Postville.

Morgan Jacobson and the Bulldogs lost 234-242 to South Winn in a May 2 meet at Tri City.

Mallory Lang shot a 63 against the Warriors on May 2.

MFL MarMac girls compete at conference meet

Jordyn Jones threw her way to 10th in the discus and 11th in the shot put at last week’s Upper Iowa Conference meet in Postville.

Ava Lindner led off all three of MFL MarMac's relays at the conference meet. The Bulldogs were sixth in both the 4x100 and 800 sprint medley and seventh in the 4x200.

Melanie Ruff had the top placing in the individual running events, coming in seventh in the 100 meter dash.

Joe Grau was co-medalist with Ben Krambeer in MFL MarMac's meet against South Winn.

Gabe McGeough finished the May 2 meet with a 47.

Ben Krambeer's 38 tied him with teammate Joe Grau for first in the South Winn meet. He was runner up in the following match-up versus Postville.
