Prairie du Chien track team competes at Richland Center

On a beautiful evening, the temperature at 81 degrees, the girls laced up their spikes and hit the track running. The will to win means nothing if you haven’t the will to prepare as Meg Katzung picked up 1st place wins in the 3200m (PR-13:32) and Pole Vault (8’0”) on the evening. Once they say set, I’m in beast mode as Madi Fisher pounded out PR’s in the 100m (3rd place), 200m (4th place), and 400m (5th place). My fastest time? I haven’t run it yet as Teagan Radloff hit PR’s in the Triple Jump with a 1st place (32’3.75) and 400m with a 2nd place (1:04.70) on the night.

Jackson DeBruin was 11 strokes better this week at Prairie shooting a very nice score of 50. Prairie’s Logan Higgins hits a wedge to the fourth green Thursday afternoon.

The 2021 Blackhawk boys golf season started practice on April 19 with three days of practices in windy conditions leading to chill factors in the 30s. They all deserve credit for the work they put in to get ready for upcoming matches, along with some juggling baseball or soccer practices plus school work.
