Survivors include her loving parents: Hailey Neeley and Christopher “Chris” Oelke; her maternal grandparents, Tracy and Mathew Neeley; her paternal grandparents, Melissa and Neil Cornelius.

Glen Arthur Bovee

Glen Arthur Bovee, 81, of McGregor, Iowa, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, at Gundersen Health in La Crosse.
Glen was born Feb. 10, 1940, to Arthur and Emma (Schultz) Bovee. He graduated from Mar Mac High School in McGregor, and was drafted into the United States Army from June 3, 1958 to Nov 10, 1958. Glen was called back into the Army on Oct. 30, 1961 to Aug 7, 1962. Glen married the love of his life, Juliene Lansing on June 1, 1963, at the Congregational Church in McGregor. Glen worked for the grain elevator in McGregor and then the 3M Company in Prairie du Chien, where he retired after 30-plus years. Glen enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing pool, bowling, playing cards, motorcycle riding and spending time with his family.
Surviving Glen are his significant other, Mariyln Hamann; nephews, Kim Nading, Chris Lansing and Jeremy Lansing; sister-in-law, Jean Lansing; brother-in-law, Gerry Lansing; and sister-in-law, Bonnie (Stram) Lansing.

Robert J. Konichek

Robert J. Konichek, 89, of Prairie du Chien, formerly of Freeport, Ill., passed away Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, at his home surrounded by family and friends.
He was born in Prairie du Chien on Feb. 4, 1932, the son of Henry and Grace (McCartney) Konichek. He graduated from Prairie du Chien High School before serving in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He then met the love of his life LoRayne Burton, and they were married in Cassville, on Dec. 9, 1954. He worked as a telegrapher on the railroad with Burlington Northern before serving as a fireman in Freeport, for over 30 years until retirement. Robert and LoRayne moved back to Prairie du Chien, where LoRayne preceded him in death on March 26, 2007.
He is survived by his children, Robin (Steve) Scovel, and Bryan (Jodee) Konichek; his grandchildren, Nathan (Candiss) Scovel, Leah (Tom) English, Breanne and Jordan Konichek, and Noel (Ed) Snow; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Roland K. Groom

Roland K. Groom, 76, of Wauzeka, passed away Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, at his home surrounded by family and close friends.
He was born in Boscobel, on Aug. 8, 1945, the son of Kenneth and Mary (Kane) Groom. He graduated from Boscobel High School before going to work on the family farm as the third generation farmer. He was an avid horseman who loved his pure-bred blue healer, Sire, who he took to Dairy Queen for a pup cup on a regular basis. Roland enjoyed staying active around the farm and just being outside. He would play Rummy with anyone willing and cheat as often as he could. He loved his family and friends and would welcome their company.
